Frequently Asked Questions

We are updating it on continuous basis as we find those things which are not clear and need more explanation. Using Siliconverge

1. How does Siliconverge work?
   Please refer to section How Siliconverge Works? for more details.

2. How do I find stuff a user Voted, submitted, and/or commented on?
   Whenever a user submits, Votes, or comments on a submission, the activity is bookmarked and stored within their profile. Your friends' profiles are linked with yours; just visit the "View my Friends" tab in your profile, and you'll see your friends' submissions, Votes, comments, and more. To visit the profile of a person who's not a friend, click on their icon/avatar anywhere on the site.

3. How do I send stories I liked to my friends?
   Under every story link in all sections, you will find a link for 'Tell friends'. Click on that link and enter email addresses of upto 3 of your friends, and hit the 'Submit' button.

4. How do I post a comment on any story?
   Under every story link in all sections, you will find a link for 'Discuss'. Click on that link and enter your comment by hitting 'Submit Comment' button.

5. Can I share the story I liked on my del.icio.us, digg, reddit, MyYahoo account?
   Under every story link in all sections, you will find a link for 'Add this link to...'. Click on that link and then click on the respective symbol where you want to share a particular story.

6. Can I save a story on my Siliconverge account to access it at later point of time ?
   Yes, you can save as many link as you want. Under every story link in all sections, you will find a link for 'Save'. Click on that link and you are all set. The story will be saved in your Siliconverge account. To access your saved stories, click on 'Go to saved' link next to 'Save' link which will appear after you save the story.

7. Can I change the way Siliconverge opens external links?
   No. Currently we don't allow user to customize this option.

8. Can I report a bug/problem?
   If you encounter a bug or problem, please send us a bug report at this Contact & Feedback form. We really appreciate your help improving this service.

Profiles & Friends

1. How do I change my profile settings on Siliconverge?
   You can change what personal information to display on Siliconverge community by clicking "My Profile" tab on your homepage when you're logged in. Once you are on to Profile page, click on to "Modify" button of "Personal Info" section.

2. How do I invite a friend?
   Inviting friends is easy — just click on any user name you see on Siliconverge to go to that user's profile. Click the button next to their icon that says "Add Friend." You can also search for current Siliconverge users by username, email, name, or location or send an email invite to people who aren't yet on Siliconverge.
